DESCRIPTION:
THIS JOB IS LOCATED IN THE UPPER MID-WEST.

Our client is looking for a HARDWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER for the group who will:
*Manage daily activities of an engineering group in analog/digital circuit
design and/or integrated circuit design preferrably for/from the Defense
Industry.
*Lead efforts to improve design quality and overall effectiveness.
*Provide technical guidance to programs during the design phase.
*Provide resources as needed to support programs and proposals.
*Provide technical leadership and application knowledge for new product
designs.
*Work with program management and customers to develop long-term product &
performance requirements.
*Initiate departmental efforts to ensure that the Company is able to design and
build products that meet customer requirements.
*Lead engineering management efforts.
*Act as coach and mentor to department personnel.
*Complete Performance Management Reviews for department personnel on an annual
basis.
*Provide frequent communication to department personnel.
*Lead, support, and encourage team solutions to define and improve existing
Engineering processes within the division and across divisions.
*Support organizational Diversity objectives.
*Familiar with electronic hardware design processes and tools.
*A personal history of successful analog / digital and/or integrated circuit
design.
*Familiar with ISO 9001 product realization requirements.
*Working knowledge of CMMI requirements.
*Working knowledge of six sigma tools and measures.
A degree is required: BSEE, MSEE or PhD
MUST be a US Citizen.
This is not a technical position. The Hardware Engineering Manager is a
functional management position.
