Job Functions: Service/Skilled - Security - P & P Security
Specialists are responsible for the coordination, and effective
implementation of DOE Physical Security and Protection Programs
at SPR operating locations. Specialists are tasked to monitor,
interpret requirements, and survey for results. P & P Specialists
provide guidance and assistance to Site Security Specialists,
Personnel & Internal Security Specialists, and the protective
force to assure the effective planning and achievement of program
objectives. P & P Specialists perform necessary liaison and
interface with appropriate DM, DOE, and subcontractor personnel
and management to assure mutual understanding and compliance with
program requirements. The DM Protection and Physical Security
Programs encompass Protective Force oversight, Performance
Assurance, Field Security operations, and administration of the
Physical Security programs. The Protection Program includes
responsibility for Counter Intelligence, OPSEC, ISSM, AVTP and
law enforcement liaison. Bachelor's degree and three years
experience or seven years experience in the security or law
enforcement field. Experience in physical security systems,
protective force or S.W.A.T. tactical operations is preferred.
Must be able to acquire and maintain a security clearance.
