Description: TEKsystems, a leader in full Information Technology Solutions, is looking for a Microstrategy Consultant/Developer for a client in Cherry Hill, NJ.

There are two customer information databases that are used by the sales community for infomation regarding customer purchase and sales activity. This position is going tobe responsible for all the Microstrategy work that is
necessary to support the existing applications. They will be replacing some internal people that are being used to develop a new application.

All resources must be available
24 x 7 for application support. They will be required to carry a cell phone and be accessible for IBM Help Desk calls. In the event of a development position opening on the permanent team, it would be ideal for these resources to be development ready for backfill. Overtime, weekend, and night work should be expected in system crises....these situations are the exception, but they do occur.

The technical skills required for this assignment are as follows:

Microstrategy development - version 7i, must know front-end report building as well as back-end NT server administration/configuration certification is a plus. All resources should have some knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, and Microstrategy. Without Microstrategy skills, candidates will need to be able to learn the functionality very quickly without the assistance of outside formal training. Cognos experience is not a true substitution. All resources should understand star schemas, dimensional modeling, and the difference in transactional vs. ****ytical systems. Understanding of differences between MOLAP and ROLAP is desireable.
