Description: Qualifications:

A successful candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience working in the various Configuration Management (CM) disciplines. Demonstrated success would include showing the ability to identify and articulate CM requirements, develop a plan of actions to meet those requirements, and possessing the ability to control and maintain focus on clearly established program objectives. The candidate must possess, or be able to obtain, and maintain a secret level DoD security clearance.

The candidate must have a BA/BS degree, or equivalent, plus nine (9) years of professional experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Candidate should be able to demonstrate experience interfacing with, and presenting to, Senior Management and Customer representatives.

Experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) is a plus.

Responsibilities will include:

Managing the activities of a Configuration Control Board (CCB), including providing CM direction and functioning as the CCB Secretariat.

Providing CM direction and support in the development of Object Oriented Program Management Tools such as a Common Product Model and change control workflows.

Providing CM direction and support in the development of an Integrated Logistics Support System for a large-scale military project.

Providing CM direction and support for production efforts, in concert with a shipbuilding partner, for a large-scale military project.

General Position Description

Participates in the coordination and administration of assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for systems and/or equipment in accordance with contractual requirements. Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering do***ents for an assigned program. Reviews and ****yzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Ensures that customer requirements are implemented and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies. Typical Minimum Education Bachelors degree from an accredited college in related discipline with 10 years of professional experience; or 8 years of related experience with Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
