JOB DUTIES: Project Leader

*BANKING OR FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY EXP REQUIRED*

Position Summary:

The Project Leader is responsible for managing the process of gathering and translating business requirements to the rest of the project team. The Project Leader works closely with the client to determine how CardSite will meet their needs and works thru the development, design and operations group to translate these business requirements into design specifications and system requirements. This position serves as the first point of contact between the client and the rest of the team that designs, develops, operates and maintains client web systems and supporting infrastructure. This job involves supervising all phases of the project life cycle. The Project Leader also establishes a relationship with the client to seek additional opportunities to meet their development needs and establish client as the primary source for future development needs.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Manages the development project from inception to successful implementation.

o Define project objectives, scope and level of effort.

o Keeps projects on track and budget, resolves issues with customers.

o Monitor progress against plan (estimates vs. actuals)

o Monitor projections by providing weekly status reports to clients

* Ensures all required team members participate in developing project estimates and scope

* Obtains required client approval prior to initiating work on client work requests

* Ensures that all client work requests are accurately categorized and entered into clients change management system (Visual Intercept)

* Assess risk factors and critical path issues.

* Serves as the business ****yst for clients resolving issues and /or customer changes.

* Manages the customer relationship to strengthen Incurrents image while constantly seeking out new opportunities to engage in additional projects for our clients.

* Provides suggestions regarding improvements to the application

* Provides suggestions regarding improvements to clients Processes and Procedures

* Escalates application support issues as required to Lead Developers for resolution

* Facilitates clients Production Change (Build) Procedures to ensure all defined processes are followed

* Escalates issues to the Director of Application Development/Support as required

* Enters time into billing application on a daily basis and submits timesheets each week prior to leaving

* Ensures all team member are aware of what Work Breakdown Structure / Activities they are required to bill to

* Submit weekly status reports defining accomplishments, issues, recommendations, and goals for the following week

Additional Responsibilities:

* Team members may be asked to perform other duties as required by business needs.

Knowledge and Skills:

* 2-5 years or more of life cycle project management experience in a development environment.

* Knowledge of MS Internet development tools such as Visual Interdev and ASP.

* Experience with project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera TeamPlay.

* Strong project coordination, communication, writing, ****ytical and problem solving capabilities.

* Demonstrated experience with relationship management and successful crisis management/ problem resolution.

* Experience with software development life cycle and processes.

* BS in computer science or equivalent work experience, MBA a plus.

* Experience with project management in the financial services or banking industry
