Skills: Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent work
experience
2+yrs MS system administration and MS Active Directory
experience ideally in a production environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft clustering technologies.
1+yr SQL Server database administration and support
experience, ideally in a production environment.
Experience with EMC/Dell fiber storage devices.
Experience with Veritas Backup Exec for windows servers.
A willingness and ability to provide 24x7 support.


Knowledge of database designing and data modeling.


Scope: The System Administrator will work as one member of a small,
highly interactive and interdependent production team and
will be jointly responsible for the 24/7 delivery,
monitoring and management of the Works Payment Manager, Card
Manager and other online delivered Works services. Daily
management activities, including performing backups,
ensuring security, reviewing logs, troubleshooting, repair,
escalation and problem resolution of the systems and
applications issues. Implementing operational upgrades,
system changes, software loads and tool set integrations.
Proactively identifying problems, performance and capacity
bottlenecks, and driving the problems to resolution.
Working closely with personnel from other internal
organizations to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
