Skills: Understanding of MS OS architecture.
Exp with XP & 2000 required.
Understanding of network topologies and protocols.
Understanding of hardware and software interactions; able to
apply this understanding to resolve issues.
Ability to identify potential product weakness and be able
to provide design guidance and recommendations for
improvements to subsequent redesigns.
Detail-oriented with attention to product quality.


Ability in organizing and managing multiple projects,
setting priorities and working independently under
aggressive timelines.
Able to easily achieve mastery of new tools, languages and
operating systems.
Understanding of computer assemblies
Ability to work under date-driven schedules
Understanding of machine characteristics that affect
software systems.


Scope: Responsible for working on platform, peripheral, software,
and special assignments that are moderately complex in
nature. Requires good judgment to resolve problems and
provide recommendations. Works from developed test plans
and/or written or verbal instructions. Test prototype
development systems, peripherals, and/or pre-released
software for compatibility and functionality by performing
test cases developed by Test Engineers.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Constructing, troubleshooting and testing prototype
assemblies. Document as appropriate.
-Assisting engineers in test phase of prototype systems
and/or pre-released software.
-Ability to set up, configure, and test hardware and
software products.
-Perform specified test cases and clearly document results.
-Functional testing and analysis of newly developed products
to ensure operation and reliability.
-Assist other technicians and engineers in completing
assigned tasks.
-Assemble and disassemble test configurations as necessary.

JOB LEVEL SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Ability to set-up, configure, and test hardware and
software products.
-Perform specified test plans.
-Assist other technicians and engineers in completing
assigned tasks.
-Learn new technologies and procedures to remain current
with industry standards and new products.
-Setup and calibrate test equipment and maintain in working
condition.
-Track prototypes throughout the development test cycle.
