company. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: *
Understanding of claims management from operational processes to
system functionality combined with the technical and analytical
skills to provide appropriate MIS support. * Design, develop,
implement and maintain programs and systems to create
effectiveness and efficiency of the Claims organization. *
Understanding of and reconciliation of various types of reporting
and analysis, i.e. Financial vs. Operational. * Business
liaison with I/S area on system changes and enhancements from
claims management and reporting perspective. * Modification and
enhancement of existing systems through analysis and programming
to ensure compliance with changes in products and administrative
processes. * Timely resolution of production program problems
for assigned systems. * Provision of technical training to
clients for assigned systems with accompanying user and systems
documentation. * Currency with technological developments in
data processing to meet current and future client reporting and
analysis needs. * May perform other duties as assigned. Job
Specifications: * Knowledge of claims organization, multiple
products and processes. * Ability to manage changing priorities
and react to critical business needs and requests. * Proven
expertise in SAS coding and business analysis. * Experience in
DB2 program design and coding. SQL and VB experience preferred.
* Strong business and systems analysis skills. * Experience in
leading small projects. * Strong communication skills. *
Demonstrated ability to communicate in non-technical terms. *
Demonstrated problem solving skills. * Attention to detail. *
Self management, team player, quick learner, ability to transfer
technical knowledge to other members of staff. * Mainframe
and/or client-server experience required. * Must be willing to
support stable technology, while learning and supporting new
