Description: accountable for all Metrology and Calibration functions for the entire facility except for certain specialized laboratory instrumentation. Will coordinate his/her area activities utilizing current industry practices to be effective in meeting company goals and objectives. Will also serve as the plants technical expert in matters of technical discipline. Will assign and prioritize the work of direct reports. Will demonstrate a total commitment to regulations i.e., FDA/cGMPs, DEA, and OSHA.- Primary responsibility for the maintenance and calibration of all measuring and testing equipment (M&TE) as described in the Metrology and calibration program at the facility.- Responsible for the direct supervision of associates assigned to Metrology.- Primary responsibility to maintain and operate a cGMP compliant Metrology and calibration program.- Responsible for establishing relations with vendors and contractors to obtain parts, materials, equipment, and services as necessary to maintain the plants M&TE.- Provide calibration support to other local area sites.- Supervises three Metrology associatesBachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline preferred. Five years practical experience in the Metrology field, which must include hands-on calibration experience. At least three years in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.At least three years experience in a supervisor or leadership position in the Metrology field.Ability to interpret various forms of blueprints, schematics, drawings, or technical manuals.Calibration management softwareAbility to work well with individuals of various disciplines (internal and external). High level of confidence and attention to detail.Practical knowledge of cGMP requirements.Practical knowledge of OSHA regulations in relation to area of discipline
