leader. Job Description Ensure compliance with numerous
Hazardous/Solid waste permits including application, receipt,
distribution, operations, reporting and training. Ensure
compliance with water and wastewater permits and all applicable
regulations, licenses, registrations, etc. Transporter permit
monitoring and renewal. 1. Implement the District Environmental
Compliance Program. Refine and implement the Eastern Area
compliance goals and objectives in the District in support of the
WMI Core Values of Ethical Conduct and Practices, the WMI
Environmental Policy, and environmental compliance directives, to
include: - Permitting. - Ensure facility permits
are in place and renewed in a timely manner. - Review site
permits and advise on expiration dates. - Review and
assess facility practices, procedures and activities to ensure
permit compliance. - Work with district manager to
identify changes for future permit applications. - Monitor
transporter permits and file timely renewals. - Waste
Control 2. Assist and participate in State/City regulatory
affairs: - Monitor State and local regulations impacting
NEET operations (pro-active approach). - Build
relationships with State and local regulatory personnel 3.
Communicate the program to all District personnel, define your
expectations for the program and their role in the program:
- Implement the program. - Monitor and evaluate the
program and modify the program to meet the goals and objectives
of the Area, Region, Division and District (with emphasis on the
District). 4. Overall Program Coordination: - Define an
appropriate method to encourage communication between technical
personnel and site management. - Routine communication
with the Division Compliance Manager and Division Engineer.
- Administrative Reporting to the Division Manager; Functional
Reporting to the Division Compliance Manager. - Feedback
and verification of accuracy of Quarterly Compliance History to
Area and Corporate. Minimum Job Requirements 1. Bachelors
Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering. 2. Minimum of 5
years of experience in permitting and environmental compliance.
3. Good communication skills. 4. Must be a team player.
Preferred Job Requirements 1. PE and/or CHMM 2. Master's Degree
Travel Percentage Required: 75% Relocation Available: No We
