Skills: 2yrs exp programming in MS Access within the past 5yrs.
2yrs exp in programming in Visual Basic for MS Office
applications within the last 5yrs.
BA or MA to include a minimum of 12hrs in computer science,
information systems, and/or data processing.
Exp. using PC-SAS within the past 5yrs.
Exp using ADABAS access within the past 5yrs.
3mons exp within the past 5yrs in using PC-SAS to extract
ADABAS fields for later use in MS Access.
Exp in programming in Natural 2 within the past 5yrs.
Exp using ROSCOE within the past 5yrs.
Exp. in structured mainframe analysis and design within the
past 5yrs.
2yrs exp performing structured programming and developing
test plans within the past 5yrs.


Scope: The position involves writing programs which query
department databases and produce reports based on those
queries. Many of these reports are in direct response to
information requests from other divisions. The programmer
shall be required to perform the following tasks: Review,
modify and test existing MS Access and Visual Basic
programs. Code and test new programs using MS Access and
Visual Basic in accordance with client standards. Review


on user requirements. Document programs. Participate in
integration tests. Obtain user requirements and user
acceptance for each assigned task. Diagnose production
problems and perform resolutions. Assist internal and
external users in their production problem diagnostics and
resolution. Provide training to personnel along with
appropriate complete documentation to enable client
personnel to provide maintenance and on-going support to any
code written during project assignments. Log and document
all problems and their solutions. Provide on-the-job
training in problem resolution techniques.
