Corporate Asset Protection Manager

Under general direction, plans, directs and coordinates
activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security
of company assets, employees, invitees and others; ensures that
established policies and procedures are in place to govern the
protection of corporate assets. Goals and objectives are
accomplished with prescribed priorities, time limitations and
with fiscal responsibilities; advises, makes recommendations,
assists in the formulation of goals and objectives; designs,
implements and monitors security policies, procedures and
programs; complies with federal, state and local legal
regulations; and exercises independent judgment in the course of
carrying out overall responsibilities and other activities as
assigned. Responsible for understanding the business and
implementing the right level of protection of company assets with
strong team building skills.
Plans, examines, ****yzes, evaluates and supervises,
Cabela’s, Inc. and all fully owned subsidiaries, security
operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security
personnel. Evaluates current procedures, practices and precedents
for accomplishing Cabela’s, Inc. activities and functions
relative to security. Identifies and resolves security related
problems, develops and implements alternative methods for
security operation improvement. Directs and coordinates
Cabela’s, Inc. activities and security functions; directs
activities during emergency situations by staying apprised of
emergency response systems, monitoring emergency activities and
supervising response personnel. Maintains a good working
relationship with local, state and federal agencies. Ensures a
safe and secure environment for all employees, customers and
visitors. Prepares budget estimate and reports; orders supplies
and equipment as needed; reviews financial reports to ensure
security operation efficiency and quality control. Develops
preventative security programs, including the supervision of
security personnel; performs audits of security related
performance and conducts physical surveys of premise security,
including security equipment condition; conducts, supervises and
prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any
losses or violations of Cabela’s, Inc. regulations,
policies and procedures.
Assists in preparation of emergency management and contingency
planning; serves as Cabela’s, Inc. liaison with public law
enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security at
Cabela’s, Inc. and or Cabela’s, Inc. personnel.
Directs the activities of the asset protection/security staff in
order to protect company assets; develops, implements and manages
security training. Initiates personnel actions such as
recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions and discipline or
dismissal measures.
Prepares reports and records for management team on internal
investigations of possible security violations. Responsible for
the development of a corporate disaster recovery/business
continuance plan. Directs the primary activities related to the
response or recovery of a corporate disaster. Ensures we have an
effective plan that will allow a smooth recovery.

Bachelor’s degree with a major course work in Business
Administration, criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security or a
closely related field. Ten years full-time experience performing
multi location asset protection for private industry or five
years Federal law enforcement (FBI, Secret Service) in a
supervisory role requir
