Job Functions: Health - Dietitian - Position Summary:Provides
comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for
patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their
preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital
personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal
diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and
direction.Typical Knowledge and SkillsKnowledge of nutrition care
principles for acutely or chronically ill patients/residents
within specialty areas (e.g., pediatrics, diabetes,
cardiovascular). Excellent communication and counseling skills.
Typical EducationBachelor's degreeTypical Related Experience2-4
yearsRequired Degree / CertificationRegistered Dietitian BASIC
FUNCTION / SCOPE: Full time status expects candidate to be able
to work up to 30 hours per week Inpatient and outpatient function
The Clinical Dietitian serves as the Sodexho representative in
patient care nutritional activities. These include: the screening
of patient nutritional status, assessing of laboratory values and
other pertinent medical data, developing appropriate care plans,
monitoring the nutritional status of patients, counseling of
patient and/or family on special nutritional requirements, and
consulting with other health care personnel (physician, nurse,
pharmacist, social worker, etc.) as appropriate. R.D.-Sodexho
reimburses A.D.A. dues.
