This WWII U.S. Army Book titled, Basic Field Manual - Soldiers Handbook, FM
21-100 is in excellent condition. It is dated July 23, 1941. The book is 264
pages and is the basic manual for all soldiers. It has sections with
diagrams (and how to wear) of uniforms, insignia, shoulder and sleeve
patches, ranks. It has sections on arms and equipment - rifles, pistols, gas
masks, how to wear (and pack) the pistol belt, backpack (haversack),
sleeping bag. It has sections on drill, marching and formations, camps and
bivouacs, use of the compass and topography, how to secure perimeters, first
aid and more. The book is in excellent condition. It measures 4 ½ inches x 6
½ inches and is softback format. There are no torn, loose or missing pages,
no soiling or any other damage. A nice reference book with lots of nice
instructional period photos.
