This book is a history and handbook of Mahwah Township in New Jersey on the
occasion of their centenary in 1949. Published for the citizens of the
community by the Mahwah Township Committee. The first thing you learn is
than Mahwah might have been named Yodlers and it goes on from there to cover
its first 100 years of history. There is a list of World War I and World War
II dead, numerous B&W pictures of the area and its sights, a look at Mahwah
in 1949 including the government and organizations, a directory of the town
and important telephone numbers and the schedule of the Centennial Program
on September 10, 1949. This would be an invaluable research tool or a nice
collectible. A 14” x 14” illustrated folding map of the township is laid in.
