Up for auction is "The Memoirs Of Henry The Eighth Of England" by Henry
William Herbert from 1856 and "With The Fortunes, Fates, & Characters Of His
Six Wives After The Best Authorities". The book is 441 pages with 7 ad pages
at the end of the book & was published by New York And Auburn: Miller, Orton
& Mulligan of New York. Portait frontispiece of King Henry VIII with
original tissue guard. Portraits protected by their original tissue guard of
Katharine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves and Katharine
Howard. The book measures 5.5" by 7.75", has an brown embossed hardcover &
has gilt lettering on the spine (but mostly faded). The book is in fair to
good condition with water damage that primarily affects the covers & 1st few
outside pages, age spotting to the plates & protective tissue, bent cover
corners, edge wear, spine corner wear/small tears, cover fading,
Structurally solid with mostly good interior page quality but with problems.
