You are incorrect John. It has always been OK to post items for sale / for
auction here so long as people are polite about it, use an FS or FA in the
subject and don't post daily about the same thing. . I believe it is even
in the rec.audio.pro charter that it is acceptable.

The problem is that the original FA posting, and the reply, and your reply,
are all crossposted to three different groups with three different sets
of rules.

rec.audio.pro is very happy with FA postings, if they are properly
labelled. The others? Who knows?
