Up for auction is a copy of "National Old Trails Road & U.S. Highway 66
(Route 66)" from 1934. The softcover book is 144 pages & was published by
the Automobile Club Of Southern California. Has numerous maps & ads for
numerous hotels/motels including a place called the Hotel Swastika. Also has
a nice ad for Yosemite National Park on the back cover. The book is a
solid/clean/tight/flat copy in very good to fine (VGFN) condition with
several light stress marks along the spine, a little spine corner wear, a
little edge wear in places, a little creasing to the front cover bottom
right corner, some penciled notes (dated 1935) to 3 of the "Record Of Trip"
pages in the back of the book, etc. Also included a 2-sided "Auto Courts"
flyer also put out by Automobile Club Of Southern California. I don't know
if this came with the book but I am fairly sure it is from 1935. The flyer
is a sharp copy in very fine (VF) condition but with a fold.
