RANT: BLAZERKOHL AND EBAY
Since you chose to make this a public rant, I'll respond accordingly. Just so
we are on even ground - here is the "letter" I received from you through Ebay
and through one of my auctions:
"I notice you post on RACM extensively (even though it's not a newssgroup for
eBay posts) and would like to know if you can gauge your sales from the
responses you receive from RACM. While disregarding the rules and regulations
of RACM by posting dozens of posts ad nauseum, you probably have an automated
system to posting on RACM. I would argue that you have no idea what the ratio
is of people actually reading your RACM posts to those bidders who conduct
searches and your regular eBay customers. Even if you receive no support from
your posts on RACM, or cannot decide whether posting is beneficial to your
auctions; your continued disregard to the character of RACM will be noticed and
filtered."
Your statement "even though it's not a newssgroup for eBay posts" is false.
Here, straight from the FAQ:
2. Please include the name of the web auction site in the subject line of your
post.
Your subject line should start with the name of the auction service you are
using. For example, an eBay post could start with something like "eBay:",
"[ebay]", or "(EBAY)" for identification purposes.
Do not use the abbreviations "FS" (for sale) or "FA" (for auction) in the
subject line when your item is not being sold or auctioned directly through the
newsgroup.
So according to that "rule" I am more in keeping with the newsgroups policies
than most posters when it comes to ebay.
You also falsely assume I have an automated system for posting - I just set up
my scanner this week, so tech. is not on my side.
Please keep your agendas to yourself. There is a filter button - use it.
Peter
PS/ Your letter to me through Ebay has nothing to do with an auction - so it is
harrasment and will be dealt with as such.
