Sympatico High Speed Ultra

Has anyone used the new 'Ultra' DSL from Sympatico?
My brother's looking into it and was wondering about others experience.
He's on Roger's in Toronto and is attracted to the 3Mbps download,
higher uploads and no caps.
Thoughts?

It's very fast and addictive. I have average downloads at around 350 kb/s
sometimes. He should get it if he doesnt mind paying that ridiculous price.
Shouldn't they have some two months special for it now?

I have regular HSE and average 850kb/s

well... rogers has no caps... and wont be implementing them... so scratch
that attraction...

Not true at all.

I consistantly get close to 500k/sec download speeds with Videotron's Extreme service. (4Mbps+ down)

True. The no caps wasn't really the issue as he's looking for maximum
download and upload since his PC runs 24\7 with emule.... if you know
what I mean. :-)

Sadly I cannot get any type of high speed where I live. (Outside of
Ottawa)
It seems like I live in the backass of nowhere but we drive to Ottawa
for shopping but once you leave the city, you get nothing outside in the
country.
No Bell. No Rogers. All I get is my tincan and sting connection of 26.4
on my 56K modem with the shitty phone lines.

Yup I live in the backass of nowhere. Actually about 10 Kms past the
backass of nowhere.
Just because I don't live right in any town or village disqualifies me
from everything?
How about Russell? They have cable TV but no cable Internet because
ogers won't set it up there. They have Storm's wireless high speed.

Moving has been though of but the wife and kids are fighting me on it. I
guess moving everyone just to get high speed Internet is not a vaild
reason they say. :-)
