Default Resting Between 30Day Periods... (allergies allergic eye)

I started using Focus Night&Day Contacts two months ago. I tried
using day-long contacts about five years ago, but gave up due to the
hastle.

I was wondering - should I allow my eye (I only have one eye that
needs correction) time to rest in between 30day periods? Last time I
took my old one out, and immediately replaced it. Is that safe?

I would like to reduce the length of the in-between period if at all
possible. Since I only have one bad eye, I lack a great degree of
depth perception (my brain has decided not to use the bad eye very
much). It seems that my depth perception has slowly increased, as
I've learned to use both eyes instead of just one (not dramatic,
total-mind rewiring or anything, but subtle improvement). I'd hate to
lose this by giving my brain a chance to neglect the input from that
eye, again.

Any thoughts would be welcome...

Oh, another thing - my eyes have been watering an extreme amount
lately. It may just be due to allergies/cold or something, but it
seems to have been pretty bad. However, it's in both eyes - not just
the one with a contact. If I was having an allergic reaction to the
contact - would both eyes water? or just the one with the contact in
it? (Just trying to eliminate the possibility...)

Default Resting Between 30Day Periods... (lens)

What did your fitter recommend? Usually one night off (ie throw lens out at
betime 30th night, put new one in the next morning) is ok, but it depends on
how your individual eyes are reacting to the lens. If you have just started
with extended wear, your fitter should still be monitoring your reaction closely.

Allergy to contact lens material is very, very unlikely and would only be in
the lens wearing eye.
