Yes, we were very surprised about this also. Apparently some of the
original breast cancer cells had begun traveling in the blood
well before there would have been any lymph node involvement.
The onc had given her an 80% chance of no recurrence in the first
five years. I guess someone has to make up the unlucky 20%...

Thank you. We are hoping that the current taxol and
pamidronate treatments will give her some relief.
She was in the hospital for five days last month due to
hepatic encephalopathy.
