It's therapy for all.
Congrats to Buttercup, I think he'll have a good home. I came the closest I've ever been to a Northern Harrier today, 15 feet. It watched me as I watched it, then flew off. Dale J. -- Dale J. Bloomington, Minnesota E-mail: dalej2@mac.com |

David,
I'm in Minnesota and I have a bird book which is specific to birds which hang out here. As for your area I don't know. I do have a couple other books which I use one is The Audubon Society Master Guide to Birding, ISBN 0-394-53383-6, there are three volumes. it covers the birds here in North America. I'd look around in a local bookstore and see if there maybe a book specific to your area. The Great Blue Heron is common here, I see them almost everyday. What you may have seen is the Green Backed Heron, which I've never seen. http://biology.usgs.gov/features/photogal/gallery7.html Hawks are fun to watch. We have the Bald Eagle here too, but I don't see them to often. Enjoy, and get a good pair of binoculars. Dale J. -- Dale J. Bloomington, Minnesota E-mail: dalej2@mac.com |
