You need to call the hospital and talk to a billing representative.
There should be staff there that has specialized knowledge in Medicare and
Tricare coverage, billing procedures, etc. Of course, they will know if the
hospital accepts the Medicare and Tricare insurance. My guess is that they
do, but one phone call should give you some reliable information. Try the
web to see if they have a site and phone numbers to call for information.
Also, on the web there are sites for both CMS (Medicare) and MyTricare.
You should be able to find some answers there too. Probably customer
service phone numbers also. Be sure to exhaust those alternatives to see if
you get consistent information.
