Taxotere again
Paraphrasing from the Taxotere prescribing sheet: fluid retention with
Taxotere is common, and 'severe' in 6.5% of patients. It is usually
recoverable and the median recovery time is 16 weeks, but it can be
several times that.
The condition described is characterised by swelling initially of the
legs and abdomen, which may spread to the whole body.
Lymphedema on the other hand is unsymmetrical, usually confined to one
limb, and cannot be generalised over the whole body.
