I saw GOLD metal; must have had porcelain or acrylic facings, but I don't
even remember if there was any porcelain; The occlusals were gold. I didn't
know what a crown even was at that time.

Ahh yes the old acrylic faced gold.

Believe it or not I still do a few of those.

Actually had a diamond mounted in a FGC
for #7 this year.

I will only crown a tooth thatactually needs one though.
It's up to the patient what 'type' of crown they want.

I need a diamond in MY tooth!

I think the original run of Hello Dolly began in 1963 or 1964. J&J was just
developing their Ceramco method in the mid 60's, so at that time I'm sure Ms.
Channing had acrylic facings. I sure hope they've been changed by now. Steve
