Hi George,
I would not say you are wrong, but I would say I see it differently. The software is small portion of the cost of going paperless. The recurring cost is definitely there as you pay for unlimited support and upgrades. It turns out to be a little over $100 a month to maintain the software. You actually save a lot more than that in staff salaries, since you operate more efficiently. If you change software vendors, you have to pay the new one to convert your data. They have programs to convert the formats from "them" to "us". Actually, I have yet to run into anyone who refuses to change software vendors over concerns about image format. If they won't change vendors it is generally only due to worries of "upsetting" their staff. -- `~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~`~ Stephen Mancuso, D.D.S. drsteve@mancusodds.com Troy, Michigan USA =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= .. <drsteve@I.give.up.on.the.spam.com> wrote: |
