From where does saliva enter the mouth?

Where are the ducts?

How many ducts are there?

Why a duct?

Two:

1. Parotid gland empties into the cheek (visible on most people).

2. Submandibular gland empties under the tongue near the front teeth.

This is why calculus accumulates on upper molars (buccal) and lower
anteriors (lingual).

Parotid
Submandibular (Submaxillary)
Sublingual

Six in all.

That's the Sublingual, the Submandibular (Submaxillary) is more lateral
