John,
Contrary to the other answer to this post, this condition is not normal, but happens every once in a great while. It happens on people who clench their teeth at night while sleeping. There is already excessive muscle activity going on, and the dental appointment strains the muscles just that tiny bit more so that you notice it. Had you not had the dental appointment, you would probably have had the same pain after the passage of enough time. -- ~+--~+--~+--~+--~+-- Stephen Mancuso, D.D.S.
