Nope.

Oral surgeon or dentist?

BS. I am not liking this guy ........ that ain't dentistry, its car salesmanship 101.

Yup.

We would need to evaluate your entire mouth and then focus on each
problem ......

My complaint is this: A patient has an immediate problem. Why muddy
the waters with the wisdom tooth advice and the tooth-straightening
advice?

Sure, INFORM the patient but then treat the immediate problem. Do not
compound it into a huge mess!

This is a student, not Bill Gates inquiring here ......

Good to know. My feeling is that the lower wisdom teeth, which come
out at a near horizontal (perpendicular to regular teeth growth), has
to be pulled. All my friends who had this was told that it could push
against the other teeth. I think I'll let my slanted upper wisdom
teeth stay as they are for now.

I don't know the difference. His business card reads DDSPC. Hmmm...so
you're saying it should be safe to pull 5 teeth at once. How long will
that take to heal? School is about to begin again and I can't afford
to miss class.

Agreed. I filled out a patient form and stated that I go to an
expensive university. He basically said, if I can afford to go there,
I can afford this. Clearly, he doesn't seem to realize that people
take tons of loans and pray for scholarship renewals...

He stated that it'll be cheaper to do it all at once (he'll do the
extra tooth free if he's doing all four wisdom teeth). Thanks for the
information. I'll have to get a second opinion from another dentist.
