Still Off the CPAP
This has been discussed here frequently. Check the archives for
a couple references/links to two medical theories as to why OSA
can result in the (apparent) need to urinate during the middle of
the night.
My internist diagnosed me with an enlarged prostate, without any
kind of diagnostic test, not even the finger test, just based on
my telling him of multiple awakenings, long before I even had an
OSA symptom. IMHO, this results from OSA ignorance.
Very shortly after starting cpap, the symptoms improved.
I actually went to a urologist to get an ultrasound of my
prostate to determine if it was enlarged. The ultrasound
equipment has the outline of a 'normal' prostate. The doctor
noted that I had the prostate of a 20 year old (at 68) and that
it was smaller than normal.
Pretty persuasive for me.
