It's quite clear to anyone who can read and understand scientific papers on nutrition, GI function, etc., that Chung understands the science. It's quite clear from Pastorio's postings that his ideas of science and his knowledge of GI functioning derive from the popular non-scientifc press. -- Chris Malcolm cam@inf.ed.ac.uk +44 (0)131 650 3085 DoD #205 School of Informatics, Edinburgh University, 5 Forrest Hill, Edinburgh, EH1 2QL, UK. For those who haven't been following the argument, the next few sentences immediately after the above quotation make it clear that for me 2lbs a day is *not* a maintenance diet, but a diet on which I slowly lose weight. Those who managed to follow the simple logic would have realised the point of my remarking that on 2lbs a day I lose weight, but on slighly more I don't. But the simple logic is evidently beyond Pastry Bob's grasp. Pastry Bob even goes on to quote the exact following sentences (above) which make it clear that he's totally muddled about what is being said, that the 2lb diet is *not* for me a maintenance diet but a weight loss diet. But he still doesn't get it. [lunatic tirade snipped] I think it's time you stopped digging. The folk who are still reading your expostulations aren't doing so far the reasons you suppose. -- Chris Malcolm cam@inf.ed.ac.uk +44 (0)131 650 3085 DoD #205 School of Informatics, Edinburgh University, 5 Forrest Hill, Edinburgh, EH1 2QL, UK.
