Your PCP receptionist sounds like a loser. When I told my RD about
waiting until the weekend was over to get attention for my shingles or
whatever that mess was. His response was I wouldn't have waited that
long you need to get treatment immediately. The receptionist has no
clue what a delay in Remicade means to us. My RD talked with my PCP
and impressed on her the need to get on with Remicade as soon as
possible. Both my RD and PCP said the best chance of controlling
shingles is to catch it early. Hope the anti-virals control the
shingles! -- MZ

duckie, how crummy to go through something like that right before your trip.
you are right about the elderly; i think about them so often as traipse around
trying to get my medical needs met.

have a wonderful trip, and i hope the pills to the trick. (i would have
continued the infusion too).

Well it stinks to have something like this happen right before your trip. But still
better than during your trip. Hopefully the pills you got will do the trick.

And if your nose itches while you are in SF, that's cause lots of us are close by and
thinking about you and wishing you all the best. (One of my gramma's superstitions)
