I have a question about aldactazide oral suspension.
what is the best suspending agent,which is readily available in
pharmacy what is the concentration and
how many days suspension will be stable in fridge?

Aldactazide Oral Suspension (5 mg/ml)

Ingredients:

Hydrochlorothiazide tabs 25 mg #24

Spironolactone tabs 25 mg #24

Carboxymethylcellulose 3% 40 ml

Simple syrup
40 ml

Cherry syrup
40 ml

Total volume
120 ml

Directions:

1) Crush Tablets in mortar

2) Levigate with small amount of sterile water

3) Add Carboxymethylcellulose by small amounts and levigate

4) Add Simple Syrup and Cherry Syrup

Labeling

Shake Well

Refrigerate

Expires in 60 days
