_ELK_ back atcha!!!!!!!!!!! What a fabulous day I had yesterday with JC and
14. I've always seen pictures of the Rocky Mountains, and thought that they
were mega beautiful, but to actually _see_ them in rl completely blew me
away. I kept telling JC & 14 that what I was seeing through the window of
JC's truck was a picture and could _not_ be real!!!!! Just about took my
breath away. When we got up about 12,000 ft., it actually _did_ take my
breath away.

Got to share about the ELK thingee. We were driving along these very
winding roads with fabulous views, and they were "putting me on" by telling
me (the city girl) that when we hit 10,000 ft that deer turned into elk. I
replied, "No.....Really?????" The two of them cracked up, and I, (in the
back seat) at first didn't know what the two of them were laughing about.
Then 14 went into a little kid mode, and with the window open yelled,
"ELK!!!!!!" really loud......just as we were driving by a man who was
standing at the edge of a crevice. JC and I thought that the man was sooooo
startled, that he might've jumped off the edge of the mountain. We were
laughing so hard that I don't know how JC was able to keep control of the
car. Maybe ya had to be there....I don't know, but I wanted to tell all of
you (who are interested, of course) what it was like. It was so amazingly
great to be with friends without any pretense and just plain.....BEEEE.
This is a brand new experience for me. I, too, want MORE!!! Tomorrow we're
going to the zoo. Maybe I'll see a deer turn into an elk. <VBG> Wishing
