Default 96 hrs to go for beta (down heart embryo)

Hi all,

regularly after breakfast (but that could be due to the food more than
anything else). My butt hurts like hell from all the IMs. I think I'll
move over to the thighs soon to give the butt a rest. My previous post
read:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even though we were given only 5-10% chance of success, I'm still
nervous about my beta scheduled for the 20th (Sunday). I tried very
very hard to not have any hope at all for this cycle, but it is so hard
to lose all hope - especially since I'm an extremely optimistic person.
Realistically, I should give myself no hope at all and be done with it,
but somewhere in my, this little voice refuses to quiet down. Do you
know what I mean?

When I told a friend of mine that our chances were very slim this cycle
because the one embryo that was transferred was of poor quality, his
response was "Does that mean that the one that survived might be less
prone to cleaning up his/her room and end up wrecking the car more than
a top quality one?" - at least that made me laugh!!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paula, are you as nervous as I am? I don't know how to spend Sunday if
it comes negavite - just that thought is so heart-breaking :-( . I just
cannot relax even though I know I should!!!!
Kams.

Kams:

Oooohh--- throw up..... that's a GOOD sign! (only in IF could such a
sentence make sense--- and if you are pg, you need to figure out a way
to put that sentence in the baby book, maybe under "What did people say
to you when they thought you were pg with me?").

Have you gotten sick more than once? I gotta tell you, although I've
felt like I would get sick, I never have.... I think that's a plus that
you have!

Be glad the test will be on Sunday, so you can have all day to do
whatever you need to do, be that shout from the mountain tops or create
a new drinking game!

Thinking of you! YG

YG,

Thanks for the encouraging words about throwing up - one big reason
I'm not making a big deal of throwing up is that my tummy is very
disciplined - when I stuff myself beyond what I need, it throws up the
excess without any hesitation (I'm not bulemic/anorexic - I'm a healthy
5'7", 148 lbs). So, throwing up has been a part of my life. But very
rarely have I done so after breakfast (I usually eat light stuff in the
mornings).

But then again, I have no other symptoms - no breast/nipple tenderness
(beyond what I have been experiencing due to IF meds), just the normal
bloating, no mood swings - nothing !!!!!

grrrrrrrrrrrrr, i absolutely hate the wait !!!! I called my RE's office
to schedule the next appointment for "next steps" - turns out my RE is
on vacation for 2 weeks! I told the receptionist I can't wait for him
to get back to start my next steps and she tells me "But your next
steps are already in place - if you get a negative on Sunday, your RN
will walk you through the next cycle's steps" - WTF - I was hopping mad
- how can the next steps be decided without consulting me, explaining
to me what didn't go right this cycle etc? I almost want to change
clinics, but these people are good, and are closeby ...

Enough rambling.
Thanks for all your support!
Kams.

Kams,
Well 5-10% is better than 0%!! I am saying my baby prayers for you.
So... the day we had our ER we met a woman who was there with her one
year old child.
She had gone thru 3 cycles, they had frozen 3 embryos, 2 did not make
the thaw and the one they put in was of bad quality. They said not to
have any hope. It was her 3rd attempt.
We all started crying when she pointed to her son and said, see
miracles do happen! The one we least expected. So, you never know.
And if its a neg. we are here for you! And we will try try again!
I heard when we let it go, the universe has space to create miracles!

Kams - best, best wishes for you... how about looking at it like this:
a 5% chance is 1 in 20... 10% is 1 in 10. That doesn't sound too bad
does it? I mean, at the age of say 35, one's odds - if all conditions
are perfect - aren't exponentially higher than that so realistically,
you almost have an average month's chance of being pregnant right
now!!! (hopefully that wasn't all too confusing-sounding)

BEST wishes.. Sue

The throwing up could be a good sign! Yeah...counting down the hours sounds
very familiar. I am too scared to hope now. No symptoms here at all apart
from boob tenderness from the Progesterone. So...I just gotta wait all
through Friday, all through Saturday and then most of Sunday.

Hugs to you. Keep positive!
Paula
