Default After effects of serotonin withdrawal (withdrawal serotonin crisis)

I went through a really horrible 4 days of withdrawal after quitting
Lexapro cold turkey. My stupid GP (who is not my GP anymore) wanted
me to switch to Wellbutrin by taking 150 Wellbutrin XL along with my
20 Lexapro and then just switch to 300 Wellbutrin XL after a month,
stopping the Lexapro cold turkey. I was off Lexapro for a total of 5
days. I have been on the 300 Wellbutrin and 20 Lexapro for just over
3 weeks and still feel depressed, though better than the crisis. Does
anyone know if it just takes a very long time to build up my serotonin
again, or if the Lexapro won't work now, or if something permanent has
happened? I'm waiting for my first pdoc appt.

Default After effects of serotonin withdrawal (withdrawal serotonin lexapro depression down)

I took lexapro for three years...after awhile it stopped working for me,
so
i took myself off the medication...
I never had a detox problem by getting
off lexapro at all...Iam still not taking
nothing for depression...I get a little
down at times, and I feel the pill
cant help me, that i have to help myself.
The pill only holds the floor beneath you
from falling out..but your problems are
still there..Iam trying to work them out
without using any pills...(sigh) wish me
luck ..and good luck to you as well.
