dear benjamin,

444 days ago savannah fell on my kitchen floor and died in my arms.
it seems like light-years and it seems like yesterday; my sense of
reality was altered forever.

for months, all i was able to do was take a bath and brush my teeth.
i cracked two teeth from clenching my jaws together so tightly. i
wandered my house in a daze and cried, cried, cried.

disappointments. we teach, nurture and hold them close inside our
souls.

the pain at the death of a child is almost beyond words. i'm sorry
your daughter died. i know how you are feeling and i am so sorry.
