There is a soft tissue tumor expert in Boston (Prof Fletcher). It appears
that CAF's were heavily misdiagnosed in the 70's and 80's and there
have probably been only 20 CAF cases. I would suggest that your son
should get a sample to Prof Fletcher of the Harvard Medical School.
It is important to do this as early as possible. My son does indeed have
the very rare CAF, and is one of the 20 cases referred to above. We
have not yet decided on the type of surgery that we will adopt.
