I read your post and it made me wonder how long you were on the Paxil? I've
been on Paxil CR for one year now and it only made me tired for the first
month or so. After that the energy was back and increased.

Do not fear taking a new drug to you if you have seen your doctor about it.
One never knows if this might be the drug for you. I try to avoid reading
about side effects..sometimes you psych yourself out before you've taken a
drug.As far as I am concerned you cannot rely on others account of their
experience with a antidepressant because they react differently in different
people. If you fear all the side effects ( which the companies have to list
in entirety) you would never try a drug that might make the difference
between wellness and being ill.Other peoples' experience may be interesting
to hear about but, they are very individualistic.

Hi Nor,
I can only speak from my experience. Effexor XR has worked well for me for 5
years. It lifts my depression.
I had some initial side-effects but they only lasted a few days. I have
Panic Disorder, co-morbid with depression. I upped my Xanax for my first few
days on Effexor XR to counteract some breakthrough anxiety.
YMMV.

Is your depression fatal ?

Co-morbid means existing alongside, I think.
