Default CHUNG MISINFORMS PEOPLE (heart)

No, being spiritual and scientific are not
mutually exclusive. Religion is important in
numerous facets of life. To illustrate its
vital place in the modern world, as one example,
here are excerpts from TIME of June 24, 1996,
which I posted in 1996:

[Excerpts]
[...]
"A 1995 study at Dartmouth-Hitch**** Medical Center
found that one of the best predictors of survival among
232 heart-surgery patients was the degree to which the
patients said they drew comfort and strength from
religious faith. Those who did not had more than three
times the death rate of those who did.

"A survey of 30 years of research on blood pressure
levels showed that churchgoers have lower blood pressure
than non-churchgoers -- 5 mm lower, according to [Dr.
David] Larson, even when adjusted to account for smoking
and other risk factors. [...]

(snip ,much drivel).

You do know of course that focussing on both Drs. Chung and Harris, you
are in real danger of losing your amateur status as a net-kook and stalker.

----
Only in America......do we use the word 'politics' to
describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning
'many' and 'tics' meaning "habitual uncontrollable
purposeless gestures."

See below

Being "SPIRITUAL" and accepting a Religion such as that given by
Muhm'd
are as far apart as the ends of the Universes! Being "spiritual"
does NOT include
a "religion" as a natural follow-on! B-0b1 !

The latter resides in the heart (soul) and the former in the brain.

The soul (heart) is important.

Yes, the soul is important.

Yes, a healthy soul promotes a healthy body.

Where's the misinformation?

"Dr. Jai Maharaj" Information

This person's game is to use outdated articles to attract people to
his
website, where he sells psychic services. What's most amusing is that
many
of the groups to which his messages are crossposted do not exist. He
plagues many USENET groups. His standard method of responding to an
attack
on his credibility is to repost the original article or to post the
sender's
personal contact information and threaten to report the sender to
his/her
ISP for spamming or making threats (the very definition of irony).

His "real" name is supposed to be Jay Stevens.

There is an anti-Jay newsgroup too:
news:alt.flame.jay-stevens

But the best place to find Jay is news:alt.fan.jai-maharaj

A member of the "flame Jay Stevens" group is "Jose Mariachi", )another
self-proclaimed "doctor"?)..."Mariachi" web site could be another
bogus cash
grab remarkably similar to Stevens' site, mantra.com.
