Any time I've had any sort of problem in that department I've found
baby wipes to be a reasonably-priced and gentle alternative to
ordinary toilet paper.

I use the wipes too but it takes several to get the job done and I get a
lot of intense buring using them and I have tried them all. I am thinking
about getting one of those portable bidets too. Water feels the best for
cleaning.

After I had my children the nurses gave me a squirt bottle (like a
generic condiment bottle) to squirt warm water on the perineal area
after urinating. That works great now when I have too much tenderness
down there after an attack. It's nice because you can aim, then gently
blot dry.

Good luck,

Are you patting or rubbing? Never rub, just pat. Works for me.

I was told by a urologist and gyn that baby wipes shouldn't be used by
adults because of the chemical make up of them can cause problems to us. I
didn't ask for details, I just got regular wipes and threw the baby wipes
out. I figured at the time I had enough problems. I also keep a bottle of
Vaseline near for those multiple trips or prep days to help soothe the
bottom. UM MOM Susan
