Default Clomid and Estradiol (estradiol mucous)

Has anyone here taken clomid and estradiol tablets in the same cycle? What
is the purpose and is it safe? I think it's for increasing cervical mucous,
but I'm not sure.

Thanks for any info!

Default Clomid and Estradiol (itch estradiol)

On my last cycle of Clomid they had me use Estradiol patches b/c my
lining was thin...it helped to build it back up. I didn't start the
Estradiol until CD12. Clomid can have some negative side effects and
usually that is hostile cervical mucus and a thin lining. My patch
never wanted to stay on and it made me itch like crazy...so I have a
feeling the tablets are a better way to go. You will stop using them if
your AF arrives, and if you end up pregnant this month- you will
continue to use the estradiol until your about 12 weeks.

Good luck...is this your first cycle on clomid? Are you being monitored
w/ u/s's? Many women find that clomid will work for them...so maybe it
will for you too! My DH and i decided to only do two cycles of
Clomid...neither worked :-( we're moving on to injectibles this
month- gonal-f......

Default Clomid and Estradiol

Thanks for the response KAC! This will be my third cycle on clomid at 50
mg. Here's the story with the Estradiol tablets. I was prescribed them at
the same time as the Clomid but only saw it on the prescription sheet after
I was at the pharmacy. I didn't get a chance to ask what it was for from
the doctor. I should have called, but didn't. I never took them because on
the side of the bottle it said not to use the medicine if you were pregnant
or plan to become pregnant. I should have researched it right away, but
didn't. Over the weekend I bought a copy of "Taking Charge Of Your
Fertility" and saw a brief mention of it and remembered the pills sitting in
the bathroom. Since I haven't had any luck the past two months on Clomid, I
thought it might be a good idea to take the Estradiol after I figured out
what it was for. My instructions are to take them days 8 to 12, 3 in the
am and 3 12 hours later. It's day 5 now, so I've got a few days to research
it more and call the doctor to be sure.

Thanks for your info, good luck with the gonal-f!

Default Clomid and Estradiol

I did Estradoil tablets with Clomid on my 6th cycle of Clomid. The RE
said it was to thicken up the lining. The first 3 cycles I did Clomid
were with my OB/GYN. I didn't have any bloodwork done or ultrasounds.
We then went to the RE for the 4th cycle. My lining during the 4th
cycle was adequate, but not the best. We did IUI that cycle and
obviously, it didn't work. For the 5th cycle, I did Clomid alone and
they cancelled my IUI because the lining was too thin. For the 6th
cycle, we did Clomid and Estradoil but the lining was still too thin.
We then went to injectibles, which really thickened up the lining. So,
in my case, the Estradoil didn't do any good.
