Default Does It Ever Get Better (depression down job insomnia)

Hi,

I've been suffering from depression for that past ten months. I've been on
Trazodone Hydrocloride all that time and I've just finished a two month
period of counselling. I though I was feeling better but the insomnia is
starting to come back and I can feel the "alarm bells" starting to ring.

I've read several articles that depression can re-occur 6-8 months after the
first episode and I'm wondering if this is what is happening to me.

I just feel so alone. So far I've fought it and continued to hold down my
job and try to keep my day to day life going but I'm finding it harder and
harder at the moment.

Has anyone else found this and how did you manage to get through it?

I'm really starting to struggle

David

If you are finding it harder, and the signs are there that your
depression is hitting again, see your GP, tell them, get help, don't
leave it, and it affects your everyday life too much.
Basically getting AD's may make it more manageable before it hits big
time, and will make things more difficult later.

Not experienced this personally, so unfortunately unable to comment,
but I am sure others here will be able to answer this.

As I said, get to your GP, don't leave it, if you feel uncomfortable
in talking to them, print your OP off, and show them that.

Hello David )

I agree with SB - you should talk to your GP about this. Depression is
unpredictable, but getting appropriate treatment in good time must be the
best way to go. It may be tempting to try to tough it out, but I know from
experience that that doesn't work in the long run.

Thanks to everyone who replied - Ireally appreciate all your kind words.

I've made an appointment to see my Doctor (Tuesday was the first appointment
I could get). I've also had a chat with my family and I'm going to stay with
them for the next few days so I'm not alone in my house.

I'll let you know how I get on

Thanks again for all your support, hopefully one day I'll be able to to the
same for others in my situation.

That's good that you are going to see your GP, and you talked with
your family, and not going to be on your own for a few days, hope it
lifts you, and helps.
