Hi group,

I wondered if anyone has got nosebleeds or gums that bleed easier, or
bruising while on Effexor?

Hi Russ,
It is a very long time since I weaned onto Effexor. Right now I am
doing the opposite, tapering.
I have tried to remember if I had nosebleeds or bleeding gums during
that time. It is entirely possible. I know I was very thirsty and had
dry itching skin and dry nasal passages.
As for bruising, it is hard to say. I bruise very easily. I do not
remember whether there was a change when I started Effexor.
Check with your doctor if you get the chance. Try to drink lots of
water.
I know my son had problems with recurrent nosebleeds when he was
taking Roaccutane. His dermatologist suggested he use Q tips to apply
Vaseline to his nasal passages.

I just checked out the site and it said that you
should contact your doctor right away if you
have bruising or bleeding.

I think contacting a doctor is a good idea but I think it is important
to note that the site talks about abnormal bleeding and bruising.
Being people with anxiety, I think it helps to be careful about
possibly being alarmist.

effexor or any ad med, but anything is possible. Please have the labs ordered
