Default Food allergy testing possible? (allergy allergies)

Is it possible to test for food allergies with bloodwork? Is it common?

Also, what is the test called that tests for testosterone in a male?

Default Food allergy testing possible? (allergy cancer prostate)

You're possibly thinking of PSA - this is the test related to prostate
cancer - rather than testosterone itself?

Default Food allergy testing possible? (allergy allergies molds)

Male testosterone is test with two test:

1. Serum Testosterone (evaluate prematurity (klinefelters syndrome)
Testicular tumors, Hypogonadism

2. Testosterone Battery (Total Testosterone, and testosterone binding
protein ) This test is used for evaluate androgenizing disorders causing
virilization syndromes in women.

Food allergies can have blood work to detect specific antigen reactions to
specific food groups or molds etc...

I.e.., Shellfish -= Iodine allergies
Chicken eggs = albumin reactions

Usually a detailed dietary intake for several months is needed to identify

reactions in a comment section along side to correlate possible foods that
cause reactions etc...

Hope this helps.

Blood work is expensive allot of things can be figured out with a little
more detailed history etc...

Default Food allergy testing possible? (allergy constipation)

Exactly what I was thinking, and going after constipation with blood work is
a little like hunting flies with a shotgun. You can't hear or see them any
better, and there is no guarantee that you will hit any, even if you shoot
in all directions.

I figure that there is a 1% probability that Don has a rare physical
condition whose sole manifestation is constipation (degeneration of
intestinal ganglia, neurotransmitter imbalance?) and 99% probability that he
is constipated because of being unhappy about something in his life that he
is not telling us or his doctors. If only we had him here under the bright
lights in the interrogation room...

Perhaps I missed something, but where did constipation come into play?

I understand your frustration, Don, but do you have internet access
and know how to use a search engine? You could obtain answers to
most of your questions by searching for them yourself. Who knows what
nugget of information you may run across that could help you?
Hopefully you are using all resources available to guide your course
in this matter.

If you go back and read threads initiated by Don Saklad or Don since
July 20 (and even before that , I believe), you can follow the course
of his problems and questions. Constipation is a major theme.
