I am 6'6", and have been working on this topic for years. All the
airlines seem to do (even at the counter) is check if an exit seat is
available. If not, they ASK (not tell) the people in the exit seats -
usually of average height - if they would voluntarily give it up to a tall
person who needs it. Not a great effort on thier part. But just part of the
discrimination that is part of being exceptionally tall.
I have tried to get a statement of their official policy toward
accomodating tall people - but with no luck. Basically they dont give a
shit.

This is something that we really need to work on . . . together. Power
in numbers. Anyone have a website or link addressing this issue?
