Dear Friends,

First of all, hi Mo & glad you are back.

Thought I would let you know my second heart echo showed normal.

John seems to be getting comfortable at his current level & is back to
cooking again--I have to help more than before. A funny note---while
Stacy I went out for about an hour, the dogs had a lot of fun playing
with some wrapping paper that was grabbed from my den. John said they
pretty much had it torn & scattered throughout the hall before he
noticed. He stuck all of them outside then! His comment was that the
dogs love it when he babysits! He had our three plus Stacy's.

Always,

Char

Wonderful! Modern diagnostic medicine is wonderful -- but sometimes it tips
us off to things that just worry us for no reason. Glad this is one of those
"information to file away for future reference" moments.

I have two large dogs and they love Christmas time because I give them the
cardboard rolls and end pieces of wrapping paper that are too oddly shaped
to use to play with. They love shredding them through the house. I figure
it's a once a year treat, and they seem to understand it is only OK to do
this with my permission. Just don't tell the dog behavior nazis over on
rec.pets.dogs. They'd go crazy over the conflicting messages I am giving the
dogs -- but this proud dog mama can say they are smart enough to know the
difference! (Now if I could just teach them to pick up the shreds ... and
not to bark at kids on bicycles ... or terrorize the UPS man through the
front door ... <G>)

Char, I'm very glad your second heart echo came up normal.

My aunt recently had to have a heart catheterization, and though we're not
terribly close, she's a help in providing advice about Dad, and I think I
was more nervous about the outcome of her heart cath (normal) than I was the
two times my father had it done.

My cats love wrapping paper, empty wrapping paper or paper towel tubes, but
especially boxes. My little panther, especially, is in any box within
seconds of it being emptied and put in reach. Paper and plastic grocery
bags are favorites, too -- she literally likes to fight her way out of a
paper bag.

Wonderful that the echo was normal. Know you feel much, much better. And
glad that John has stabalized somewhat.

Char,

I am very glad to hear that all is well with your heart echo. Take care of
yourself and try to stay well with all of the holidays coming up. I'm also
very happy to hear that John is doing okay. Sounds like he had a great day
with all of the puppies! Good for him,,,,rules are sometimes meant to be
broken.

My best to you and to John.

Kathy
