Default Graves; runny nose

Is this normal? My nose streams 24 hrs a day unless I settle in one
place and stay there. Soon as I go to cook or whatever, it leaks
furiously. If I go outside to the shops, it absolutely streams. Is
there nothing I can do about this? I never used to be this way before
Graves.

Bill,
Could this be from your eyes watering? Draining into your sinuses?
That was the case for me until they plugged my puncta.
Stores are very dry inside, and make things worse. (Now I just look teary eyed!

Possibly I guess. The past few days I've had the flat frankly
overheated, I'm wandering around in my undies. My nose has dried up
completely. Eyes still water though. This is difficult as I'm applying
to join the Ugly Agency in the new year, well, in a few days now, and
I want to do some tv. I can't be crying all the time. Unless they call
my character Weepy!
What's a puncta?

Default Graves; runny nose (ophthalmologist down)

Nill,
Puncta are just the drains in your eyes. Mine were first temporarily,
then permenently closed to help with dryness. If your eyes water, it
means they are dry. Odd, but true. Keeping your flat overheated
probably doesn't help. If I forget to turn my heat down at night, I
really pay for it the next day. Have you tried using artificial
tears? If you use them regularly, the watering may improve. Have you
ever been seen by an ophthalmologist?

Really? My eyes water and burn a lot, I have read the connection between hypo
and Sjorgens but I always thought it didn't pertain to me.

Seems odd, but it is true. Try the preservative free artificial
tears, use them every couple of hours and see if it helps. I use
ointment at night, Genteal makes a cheap ointment that doesn't leave
you gooey that is very good.
