Gwen claims that she talks to God on a regular basis, so it's time to put
this talent to work for the betterment of all mankind.

I propose that, in her next conversation with God, she simply ask Him/Her/It
who will win the next Super Bowl. I will take the answer to that question,
along with $100,000 and place a few bets with the sports books in Las Vegas.
Being the magnanimous person that I am, all winnings would, of course, be
donated to charity.

If this little experiment is successful, Gwen could then ask God for a few
good tips on the stock markets and commodity exchanges. Everybody here
would then mail $100 to me and I would invest the money according to God's
tips. Just think, with a little effort we could fully fund the budgets of
all the world's charities, pay off the national debt and eliminate hunger
and poverty worldwide.

If Gwen truly talks to God, she owes it to the world to use her talent.
Remember, Gwen, don't hide your light under a bushel!

I think many people talk to God/pray for these things.
Gwen stated that she talks to God. Yes, she talks, He listens.
She didn't say they have a conversation.

What you should donate is your body to science. Bet there are not
many who have autopsied a body with no brain before.

Well I talked to God just a few minutes ago. She informed me that she is
totally pissed with Gwen and that's the reason She gave Gwen hemorrhoids,
benign breast lesions, bunions on her right foot, a ruptured tendon in her
bicep, a deviated septum and a bad right hip. So you'd better watch out,
you never know what can ahppen to you!

I don't know the history between Gwen and you but for your sake just let
it go.

I was turned off to the whole God/Jesus mindset about twenty years ago
after being an on again/off again Presbyterian since childhood. I was
told/preached some very insensitive things after my husband shot
himself by holier than thou relatives who even suggested that it
happened because I didn't believe enough or pray hard enough......even
one suggested taking my young child so he could be raised in 'a good
Christian home'. Then there was definitely a lack of our church friends
at the service because they felt uncomfortable with suicide. A few
months earlier I had sought out counsel from our pastor to talk with my
husband because of his drinking heavily and being severely depressed.
This man of the cloth didn't think it was his place to interfere in our
private lives. This same pastor couldn't bring himself to come to speak
at the memorial service. Except for one dear older woman from the
church not one person came or called afterwards to see how we were
doing. It really opened my eyes to many things.

BUT....some people do have good experiences with their belief system and
that's ok with me as long as they don't target me to share those
feelings. It's a 'I may not respect your opinion but do respect your
right to that opinion' thought process. In the last twenty years I've
survived without a god in my life and most definitely ignored those
hypocrites who talked the talk but didn't walk the walk. Organized
religion to me is just another form of cult behavior.

Maybe you have your own reasons for taking exception with Gwen's
attachment to her god but all your comments do is to fire up more
preaching. Do what you may, just thought I'd add my two cents.

And, please, to any other posters......don't pray for me because I don't
need it.
